The Results

Well, today is the day, and the poll has been closed. And wow, just look at that list! To make the list you clearly had to be geeky AND sexy.

Well, without further delay, the Number 1 Web Celebrity from Australia for 2007 is..........

Duncay Riley!

Duncan Riley at TC Ranch

Congrats Duncan! I know you did a couple of nice plugs on Twitter, but considering you write for TechCrunch, podcast on TPN and Twitter relentlessly you were always going to be up there with a shot.

Well done also to Chris Saad for Silver and Richard Giles for Bronze. Nice work. And well done to the rest of the 15 for making such a prestigious list. (there were about 7 tied for 16th so I just cut it back).

Just a final note that this was certainly not an exact science, just a bit of fun. But let's do it again next year, so get out there now.

Should we allow Richard McManus on the list as an honourary Aussie?

Plenty of quality people in NZ, they deserve their own list. Otherwise, competing with an Aussie list will drown them.

...and dont use a wiki. I forgot who I voted for as I was doing it! Maybe try the poll function in confluence next time
